FREEDOMS WE CAN BRING BACK FOR YOUR LOVED ONES

INDEPENDANCE

Feeling independent can really support the mental wellbeing of older people. Reassurance that they can still do all the things they love doing with the gentle guidance and support of a companion. We are not there to do everything for them. More to support and guide them in doing those everyday tasks that have become a little overwhelming.

REASSURANCE

Reassurance and support to continue living the life they want to. Not being told they can't do it but supporting them with how to do it (if slightly differently). Reassurance to the family that someone is looking out for their loved one and communicating any concerns back to them.

COMPANIONSHIP

Feelings of loneliness and isolation are rife amongst the elderly. The support of a friendly face once or twice a week can reassure them that they are not alone. Giving back the feeling of being supported and listened to.

GETTING OUT AND ABOUT

Support with trips to the shops, visiting friends or clubs and days out, all contribute to the wellbeing of elderly individuals. The feelings of isolation and confinement can be sole destroying. With the support of a companion these worries can be alleviated. We are there to support them in every activity they would like to engage with. Even a small walk outside in the sunshine can have really positive effects on wellbeing.

WHY CHOOSE A COMPANION?

Your loved one is still able and independent and capable of staying at home with just a little bit of support. Companionship is perfect. We can provide as much or as little assistance as they need. As we get older some of those household tasks we used to do are getting a little harder. Cleaning the bath or shower, takes a little more effort. Gardening causes all sorts of aches and pains and cooking is a chore. With the help of a companion we can tackle the jobs together. Or they can watch with a nice cup of tea while we complete the task for them!

People want to stay in their own homes for as long as possible. Many are not ready to move into care homes or assisted living just yet. Choosing companionship allows people to do just that.

Choosing companionship enriches our lives in countless ways. It fosters a sense of belonging and support, making life's easier to navigate. Companionship encourages personal growth and shared experiences, allowing us to create lasting memories. Ultimately, it enhances our overall well-being, reminding us that we are not alone on our journey.

Caring
WHY WE BELIEVE IN COMPANIONSHIP

We all have aging loved ones, and felt exactly the same as you. Worrying about not being able to get to see them, questioning if they are lonely, trying to juggle our lives, a job, family and checking they are ok. we've witnessed other families going through the same thing through working in the care sector. It's not easy.

We firmly believe that the biggest killer of spirit is the lack of emotional support that friendship can provide. Companionship is essential for our emotional well-being and mental health. It provides us with support, understanding, and a sense of belonging. Through companionship, we can share our experiences, joys, and challenges, fostering deeper connections with others. Ultimately, having companions enriches our lives and helps us navigate the ups and downs together.

Having a companion, means our loved ones can complete all the things they want to. The only thing holding them back is confidence.

We all want to feel special and loved during our lives but especially as we get older.

Let us help your loved one to feel confident and supported.
