If you're trusting someone to come into your/your loved ones home, you're going to have questions. Here are some of the most common ones but if there's anything else you need to know, let's talk.
How much does a companion cost?
When we were first looking into companionship, we really struggled to find any clear prices. Because of this, we’ve put together a couple of packages on our pricing page to help get you started. These are completely flexible though, we can do as little or as much as you need from us. Our standard charge is £25 an hour.
What’s included in the price and is there anything that isn’t included?
The costs outlined in any of our packages covers any visits made by your companion.
It does not cover travel from your home, Entrance fee's, purchases whilst out, or shopping. These will be itemised separately.
Travel from your house is charged at 45p per mile.
Is there anything you can't help with as a companion?
Personal care and administering medication
What insurance do you have?
Public Liability Insurance.
Business Car Insurance
Certificates available on request
What qualifications do you have?
Enhanced DBS
First Aid Certificate.
Care Certificate
And many other training and skills certificates gained through CPD and working in the care community.
What hours do you work?
We work Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm.
Weekend work may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
We do not work Bank Holidays, Christmas or Easter.
Where do you work?
We can work anywhere within Southampton and the surrounding area including Locks Heath, Romsey, Hamble, Bishops Waltham. We also spend one day a week in the Liphook/Petersfield area.
Do you work with couples?
Yes, we can work with couples.
The cost would be £60 an hour.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that things happen unexpectedly and you may need to cancel our visit. We require 24 hours notice if possible. If you cancel after this time you will be charge the usual rate of £35 per hour.
What if you are unwell or unable to visit me?
We will do our very best to make sure that your visit is not cancelled and if possible will offer an alternative companion to fulfill our promises.
If we are unable to cover your visit you will not be charged.
Do you work with people who have dementia?
Yes, we have lots of experience of working with clients who have dementia. During our free consultation we will be able to discuss needs and requirements that will be best suited to supporting the individual.
